Terms of Use

1. Overview

HiddenRoute ("the Service") is a VPN service operated by Moreapps Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong SAR ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the HiddenRoute mobile applications, the website and web dashboard, and the VPN service itself. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. The Service

HiddenRoute provides encrypted VPN connectivity based on the WireGuard® and AmneziaWG protocols, routing your internet traffic through servers operated for us in various locations.

The Service is offered in two tiers:

  • Free — access to a limited set of server locations. Free connection sessions are limited in duration (currently up to 30 minutes per session) and are disconnected automatically when the limit is reached. You may reconnect after a session ends.
  • Premium (paid subscription) — no session-duration limit (subject to Section 6), access to all server locations, and additional features such as Kill Switch and DNS-based ad and tracker blocking.

Feature sets, session limits, and server locations may change over time as the Service evolves. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time; if we permanently discontinue the paid Service, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period for card purchases made directly with us — App Store purchases are handled under Apple's refund rules, and crypto purchases remain subject to the Refund Policy.

3. Your Account

An account is created with your email address and verified with one-time codes; the Service does not use passwords. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account email up to date.

You may change your account email at any time. Deleting your account is covered in Section 7.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Premium is available through the following channels. The channel you purchased through determines how your subscription is billed and managed:

  • Apple App Store. Auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel it in your App Store subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Web (card payments). Auto-renewing subscription billed by our payment processor (Stripe). Manage or cancel it at any time through the billing portal available in your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Cryptocurrency (where offered). One-time payment for a fixed access period. Crypto purchases do not auto-renew.
  • Promotional access. We may grant free or discounted access at our discretion. Promotional access carries no monetary value and may be modified or withdrawn.

Prices may differ between channels. We may change subscription prices; changes apply to subsequent billing periods and, for auto-renewing subscriptions, you will be able to cancel before the new price takes effect.

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • engage in any activity that is illegal under applicable law, including the law of the jurisdiction you are in;
  • send spam, distribute malware, or conduct network attacks, port scanning, or unauthorized access attempts;
  • upload, download, or distribute content that exploits or harms minors;
  • infringe intellectual property or other rights of third parties;
  • interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent limitations of the Service or its infrastructure;
  • resell, rent, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written consent.

A VPN protects your traffic; it does not exempt you from the law. You remain fully responsible for what you do while connected.

The use of VPN services is restricted or regulated in some countries. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful in the country you use it from.

6. Fair Use and Technical Limits

To keep the Service reliable for everyone, we may apply reasonable technical limits, including limits on session duration for the Free tier, the number of simultaneous connections per account, and one active VPN session per device. Where a connection limit is exceeded, the oldest active session may be disconnected automatically.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the Service or its infrastructure, or where we are required to do so by law. A blocked account cannot sign in.

You may stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account from within the app or dashboard once any active paid subscription has ended (cancel auto-renewal first; deletion becomes available when the paid period is over). Except where required by law or provided in the Refund Policy, fees already paid are not refunded upon termination.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time or location, or that it will achieve any particular connection speed. Connectivity depends on factors outside our control, including your network, your device's operating system, and third-party infrastructure. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Using a VPN does not make you anonymous. Do not rely on the Service as your sole safeguard where your safety depends on privacy.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PARTY SHALL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or of applicable law. This obligation is not limited by the cap above.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory provisions of applicable law.

10. Intellectual Property

The HiddenRoute applications, website, branding, and infrastructure are owned by Moreapps Limited or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the applications for accessing the Service.

The applications include open-source components, including the WireGuard® and AmneziaWG protocol implementations, which remain subject to their respective licences. "WireGuard" is a registered trademark of Jason A. Donenfeld. A list of open-source components is available on request.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL with the effective date shown at the top. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email where practicable. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation; if unresolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR. This clause does not deprive consumers of protections granted by mandatory law of their country of residence.

13. General

Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, constitute the full agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect.
No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign ours to an affiliate or successor.
